BLACK PINE FLORAL DESIGN

Hi there! My name is Olivia Clawson and I am the owner and creative director at Black Pine Floral Design. I love the gifts nature provides us. My goal is to showcase the beauty of our wild spaces through floral and botanical design to highlight their importance and need for preservation.

The name Black Pine is inspired by Ikebana, a traditional form of Japanese floral design. Ikebana only uses specific materials which encapsulate nature at its utmost beauty. Black pine is one of those materials. Ikebana’s goal is to emulate the beauty of nature within a vessel, and we at Black Pine, are aiming to do the same.

Located in Brantford, Ontario, we provide delivery for weddings and events across Southern Ontario.

Saying that Olivia was an absolute delight to work with is an understatement. My husband and I were planning our wedding ourselves, and so we knew we needed a florist who could put together beautiful arrangements at a reasonable cost, and who was also responsive and easy to work with. Olivia delivered on all of those fronts. She is an artist who will help you flush out your vision and work within your budget, a fantastic communicator, kind, and reliable. On the day of our wedding, Olivia delivered all of our florals hours before the chuppah (ceremony) and stayed until cocktail hour to help with the room flip and repurpose our ceremony flowers. The arrangements themselves were stunning and truly exceeded our wildest expectations. We have nothing but incredible things to say about working with Olivia, and will wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who needs a florist for their wedding.

Olivia was so kind and knowledgeable! I had a general idea of what I would like for my wedding and she exceeded all of my expectations with the most unique and beautiful bridal bouquet! I had the absolute pleasure of working with Olivia for all of my wedding florals in November 2022 - and to all of you brides and grooms out there, I cannot recommend this vendor enough. First thing's first - she has amazing customer service and support. I'm a non visual person, and she held my hand throughout this entire process, going back and forth for months until I knew exactly what to expect on the day of. Secondly, she was very flexible. I must have changed my order 5+ times, and she happily accommodated every shift, even one that was just weeks before the Big Day. Last but certainly not least - Olivia really delivered. The florals were stunning, she has a true talent for putting together beautiful arrangements, and they were exactly as pictured. She was punctual, pleasant and supportive throughout this whole process, and I cannot thank her enough.

Olivia made my wedding florals DREAM come true! I really wanted white fluffy pampas grass in my florals. It was difficult to find a florist who offers this! Olivia is so kind, organized, professional and easy to work with. I was so lucky to find her.
